"We're
family. My grandfather, Marvin Sanders, opened
Merchants Office Furniture in 1940 from its original downtown location
on 1511 Arapahoe. My great-grandfather ran the company from 1941
to 1944 while my grandfather served in World War II. In 1961 Marvin
sold his property to the developers of Park Central Tower and purchased
the Bob Jones Skyland Ford building, located at the intersection
of Broadway, Arapahoe, and Park Avenue West. My dad came to work
for my grandfather in 1970, shortly after graduating from college.
He has successfully run the company from this same intersection
for 38 years. In January 2008 I joined my dad as the fourth generation
to contribute to Merchants Office Furniture.

Only recently (March 2007) we created our first website. We're confident
our diverse products and exceptional service exceed that of our
competition. Our new web campaign is an effort to broaden Merchants'
visibility across Colorado as well as an effort to tap into more
computer savvy generation. Through Internet marketing, it is my
goal to improve our sales volume of new and used office furniture
to include a more diverse demographic of customers. We feel more
individuals and companies would truly benefit from our guidance
in making decisions on their furniture investments.

Richard
Sanders, Owner
Richard joined Merchants in August 1970. With his 38 years of experience,
he leads the team in product knowledge and sales excellence. Richard's
familiarity with his competition, his customers, and his capabilities,
make him a true mentor to his daughter, his staff, and his peers.
Through his tenure in the industry Richard has upheld is well-liked
and well-respected reputation. He's truly invaluable to the success
of Merchants.
Jynx
Sanders, Owner
Jynx joined Merchants in January 2008. She graduated from the University
of Michigan with a degree in Economics. Shortly thereafter, she
spent two years in Chicago selling advertising for KingWorld/ CBS
Enterprises. She spent the following year interning at a Corporate
Real Estate law firm in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Jynx returned to
Denver in 2007 where she began working in commercial real estate
with Jones Lang LaSalle. With her background in both sales and real
estate, and her fluency in Spanish, Jynx's immediate plan is to
identify and pursue business development and networking opportunities.
Marty Fogel, Sales Representative & Book Keeper
Marty has been in the industry for 30 years - 27 of which with Merchants.
His focus is sales support including billing, accounting, office
management, and customer service. However, his years of experience
have made him an office furniture expert. He's established a solid
list of clients with whom he acts directly as their sales representative.
Marty's calm and friendly personality make him a joy to work with.
Chuck Hill, Shop Co-Forman & Refinishing Professional
Marvin Sanders, the founding owner, hired Chuck in 1966. His 40
plus years of experience have earned him a tremendous reputation
in refinishing. His stripping, painting, and finishing expertise
has enabled him to perfectly custom-fit and size all furniture types.
Chuck assists in assembling furniture as well. His jovial attitude
and contagious laugh are true assets to the work environment.
Jose Guiterrez, Shop Co-Forman & Upholster Professional
Jose has worked with Merchants for 22 years. He is an upholstery
professional. He does an impeccable job turning pre-owned hidden
furniture treasures into truly like-new furniture. His fabric knowledge
and understanding of emerging trends make him extremely valuable
to Merchants and its customers. Jose assists in delivery and assembly
as well. He's a true pleasure to work with.
John Van Skike, Shop Co-Forman & Installation Professional
John is a jack-of-all-trades - a driver, an assembler, an installer,
and a mechanic. He's been with Merchants only but a short three
years. All projects are completed on time and successfully though
John's commitment to his work. He has proven just how valuable accountability
is in the service business.
